My latest crochet project was a success and my son and new daughter in law loved the Wedding Afghan. I forgot to take a picture, except for this one.  I had good intentions to take some "in progress" photos but got too wrapped up in other things. Speaking of other things, I'm leaning towards letting My Crochet Site fade into obscurity and transferring everything over here. I think this site will allow me to offer everything and possibly some extras. I just need to find the time to get back to it! After Christmas? What projects are you working on? I still can't decide on whether to keep my own doman (mycrochetsite.com) or to move over to this one which is a little easier to maintain. I'm not tech savvy enough for someone to throw me the reins and say "Hereya go, take your html and css and make it pretty!" One of the reasons I like this new site is because it's so easy to work with that, dare I say it, a dummy like me can use it? It's not that I'm lazy, I just don't want to learn a whole new language to run a hobby web site. Maybe I am just getting old and grumpy. Well, grumpy anyway. My youngest son is getting married at the end of this month and I decided at the last minute to crochet the happy couple a wedding afghan. I guess I just work better with a little pressure applied. I've started on this pattern and hope I'll finish before we leave to drive the 900 plus miles to Tucson. I figure if I don't, I'll have 15 hours of driving to get it done. Joy. First Post! 08/23/2011
What do you think of the new site? I'm trying to declutter and be more streamlined online and in my personal life! There's just too much stuff out there, in here, all over the place and it's just stressing me. I've managed to get general areas of my home cleaned out, but now I have a garage full of stuff. It all reminds me of an old George Carlin skit about "stuff." We just move our stuff around. I'm done with a lot of this stuff and it has to go! My goal is to provide the best variety of links for free crochet patterns and ultimately a comprehensive place to shop for the newest most innovative products from yarn to hooks. This is the second "new" site and I'd love to hear what you think about each. Which do you prefer? What elements are better? What would you change or add to make it better? What would you like to see more or less of? Feel free to let loose and express your opinion. I read every one of the comments, emails and love to hear from you!
